3 Tips For Longer Lasting Manicures
1. To keep small nicks and chips on the tips of your nails at bay, apply a thin layer of clear top coat to the nails every other day, being sure to apply all the way to the end of the nail and then underneath.
2. If you own good quality nail lacquer, consider asking your nail technician to use your own lacquer that you bring along with you. Then should you get any small chips at the tips, you can carefully touch them up yourself. I've extended a manicure by an extra week using this trick alone.
3. Nail lacquers in pale, neutral shades tend to wear better. They still get little chips, but you don't notice them as much. Applying a coordinating glitter top coat will hide the chips even longer. I use this one when I know I'm going to be too busy to fuss with my nails for a few days. The chips are there, but I don't notice them.
